Immunizations & Travel Vaccines


The Immunization Program works to minimize vaccine-preventable disease by informing the public about the importance of childhood and adult immunizations.

Infant and Children Immunizations

For each vaccine there will be an administration fee of $21 - $30

Community Health Services is a VFC (Vaccine for Children) provider. The VFC program is a publically funded program that ensures that all Colorado children receive necessary vaccines, regardless of their parents’ ability to pay.

Eligibility: Your child is eligible for the VFC Program if he or she is younger than 19 years of age and is one of the following:
  • Health First Colorado - Medicaid-eligible
  • Uninsured
  • Underinsured (Your child has health insurance, but it does not include vaccines, does not include certain vaccines, or has a vaccine cap that has been reached)
  • American Indian or Alaska Native


Please bring your child's immunization records with you.  The nurse will review the record to determine what vaccines your child needs.

Community Health Services is also a Section 317 provider. The Section 317 program is a publically funded program that ensures that all Colorado adults receive the necessary vaccines, regardless of their ability to pay.


Eligibility: You are eligible for the 317 Program if you are 19 years of age or older and one of the following:
  • Uninsured
  • Underinsured (You have health insurance, but it does not include vaccines, does not include certain vaccines, or has a vaccine cap that has been reached)
  • Insured household or sexual contacts of a person infected with Hepatitis B are eligible to receive Hepatitis B 
  • Medicare patients with Part B only are considered underinsured for Zoster, Tdap, or Td.

There are two fees for each vaccine given: 1) the vaccine itself, 2) the injection fee.

Travel Immunizations

Travel immunizations are available to protect residents traveling abroad from communicable diseases. We provide immunizations, both required and recommended, to persons travelling out of the country, based on geographic risk and type of travel. Travel Consultations: We also offer information on avoiding food and water-borne illnesses and advise travelers of disease outbreaks or special problems occurring in parts of the world where they will be traveling.
