Communicable Diseases

Community Health Services' mission is to provide early identification, prevention and control of contagious diseases through monitoring illnesses spread by people, food, water, animals, and insects. Communicable diseases include tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases, food and water borne illnesses and influenza.This is accomplished through immunizations, outbreak investigation, community and patient education, screening, and, in certain cases, treatment of communicable diseases and disease surveillance.
